Welcome to D&D Coatings! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services and website. By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Services

D&D Coatings ("the Company," "we," "us") provides professional painting, remodeling, and custom carpentry services. Our services are performed by skilled professionals using quality materials to ensure a high-quality finish. All services are subject to a detailed, written proposal or contract that will be provided to you before work begins.

2. Client Obligations

As a client ("you," "the client"), you agree to:

Provide Access: Ensure D&D Coatings and its personnel have timely and safe access to the work area during agreed-upon hours.

Prepare the Site: Clear all personal items, furniture, and valuables from the work area unless otherwise specified in your contract. While we take great care, we are not responsible for items left in the work area.

Provide Utilities: Ensure all necessary utilities (e.g., electricity, water) are available and functioning on-site.

Maintain Safety: Keep children and pets away from the work area for their safety.

3. Pricing and Payment

Estimates and Proposals: All estimates are valid for 30 days. The final price for services will be outlined in a formal proposal or contract. Any changes to the scope of work after the contract is signed may result in additional charges.

Deposit: A deposit may be required to secure your project's start date and cover initial material costs. This will be specified in your contract.

Payment Schedule: Payments are due according to the schedule outlined in your contract. Final payment is due upon completion of the project and your final walk-through inspection, unless otherwise stated.

Late Payments: Invoices not paid within 15 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation by Client: If you need to cancel your project, you must provide written notice at least 7 days before the scheduled start date. Deposits may be non-refundable, depending on material purchases and scheduling commitments.

Rescheduling: We understand that unexpected events can occur. Please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. We will make every effort to accommodate your new timeline.

Force Majeure: D&D Coatings is not liable for delays or failure to perform its services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, or supply chain issues.

5. Warranty and Guarantees

D&D Coatings guarantees all workmanship for a period of one year from the date of project completion. This warranty covers defects in craftsmanship (e.g., peeling, blistering, or flaking paint resulting from improper application).

This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear.

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence.

Discoloration or fading due to sunlight or weather.

Damage to the underlying surface (e.g., wood rot, rust).

Work performed outside of the original contract.

6. Limitation of Liability

D&D Coatings will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with our services. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided to you.

7. Intellectual Property

D&D Coatings reserves the right to photograph and use images of all projects for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website and social media. These images will not contain personally identifiable information without your prior consent.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Louisiana. Any legal action or dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be filed in the courts of New Orleans, Louisiana.
